Water flows into our homes, ready to drink and use. In the windy capital Wellington Water delivers safe drinking water, treats wastewater and manages stormwater for the region’s councils who own and fund the company. Wellington Water's website is a crucial tool for telling the water story and keeping consumers informed. They came to us to design and build a website that places water users at the center.
Understanding and meeting user needs was fundamental to our design and approach and research became the cornerstone of our approach, helping us to map out customer pathways and critical touchpoints. 1568 page rating responses collected over 6 years were reviewed along with multiple key stakeholder surveys and ongoing community engagement sessions. From the intuitive user interface to the captivating visuals, every element was crafted with the user in mind.
